All the tweaks we have added to the Genesis child we use have been added to the Genesis Sample theme. We posted the theme on GitHub for every friend of the Genesis Framework.
You can use the theme as is or add your own code. 
The structure of the classic Genesis Sample theme has not changed. All edits are contained in functions.php and style.css,
The files contain changes for better speed, and some improvements in the UI.
It contains a custom code for clearing autoptimize's cached files (//* Clear autoptimize cache at 512MB iGuRu.gr). We use this specific code before its release Plugin which provides the same mode.

Style.css contains code that you may not need, as it contains edits needed for the plugins we use.
