Google's Android does not stop "magnetizing" all kinds of malicious applications, due to it being a very popular platform.
The company managed to stop a new campaign maliciousυ software which was aimed at the Android platform and has been operating since at least the beginning of June 2019.
The findings, released by the CSIS Security Group, reveal that a malicious software, called Joker, was designed to steal Android users' secret subscriptions to high-cost subscription services in addition to stealing SMS messages, contact lists and its information. of the victim's device.
Overall, CSIS found 24 Android apps on Google Play (listed below) that contained a trojan. The apps had been downloaded more than 472.000 times by unsuspecting users before Google managed to delete them from the Play Store.
Joker malware has hit 37 countries, including Australia, China, Germany, India, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

If you have any of the above apps installed from the Google Play Store, delete them immediately from your system. After removing the malicious application, it is advisable to scan your device with trusted security software.
