Yesterday, Google acquired media processing startup Fly Labs and will integrate it into team of Google Photos.
Η Fly Labs gave the possibility to users να μπορούν να επεξεργαστούν βίντεο και photos and has been a big business success having had 3 million downloads in the last 18 months. More than 20 million videos have been created with applications made by FlyLabs.
The suite of applications (Time, Flight and Crop Top) will be available today free for the next three months, but there will be no more updates. After three months the apps will still work, but will no longer be available for download from App Store.
Google's move was interesting, especially since FlyLabs was mainly focused on photo editing and video editing tools for iOS. But it will still be interesting to see how the company will incorporate its know-how with the already very good Google Photos service.
