Google announced on Thursday it acquired Anvato, a video software platform used by major media companies such as NBCUniversal, CBS and HGTV. Anvato enables you to encrypt, edit, and publish videos securely on multiple platforms. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In a post at blog of the company, Google senior product manager Belwadi Srikanth wrote that the Anvato platform will complement Google's efforts to "enable scalable processing and streaming of media in the cloud."
