Google: ban Zoom

Another απαγόρευσε την χρήση της εφαρμογής Zoom. Αυτή τη φορά η forbade all its employees to use the application on their devices.

BuzzFeed News Reported last night that the company's security team sent an internal email to all its employees, from last week, informing that the Zoom application is prohibited to exist on operating systems.

A Google spokesperson said Zoom's desktop client does not meet the company's security standards. Employees can only use the app through a program to have contact with their family or friends.

Why is the use of the application prohibited?

It is worth noting that Google also has a video conferencing application called Google Meet (also known as Hangout Meet).

Google has banned the application following a host of other companies and public bodies which have already banned Zoom: SpaceX, New York schools, the German Ministry of Health and the Taiwanese government.
