Another company banned the use of the Zoom application. This time Google banned all its employees from using the app on their devices.
BuzzFeed News Reported last night that the company's security team sent an internal email to all its employees, from last week, informing that the Zoom application is prohibited to exist on operating systems.
A Google spokesman said Zoom's desktop client did not meet the company's security standards. Employees can only use the app through a browser to keep in touch with family or friends.
It is worth noting that Google also has a video conferencing application called Google Meet (also known as Hangout Meet).
Google has banned the application following a host of other companies and public bodies which have already banned Zoom: SpaceX, New York schools, the German Ministry of Health and the Taiwanese government.
