In a statement to The Washington Post, Google he apologized publicly for the image of Android that appeared to be an Apple logo.
"We are sorry for the inappropriate content of the user. "We're trying to get rid of it quickly," Google spokeswoman Mara Harris told the Washington Post.
"We are learning from these issues, and we are constantly trying to improve the detection, prevention, and handling of bad choices," Harris said.
The image of naughty Android has now been removed from the map of Pakistan. Prank started with Google Maps Map Maker, a feature that allows users to add content and additional information to Google Maps.
The person responsible for all this was one account of Map Maker who goes by the nickname nitricboy.
Apparently it was just one of many trolls that continue to show weaknesses in Google's seemingly non-existent review process for Map Maker.
We hope Google got it message.
