Google ARC Welder runs Android apps on computers

ARC Welder: Google just opened it  Chrome's App Runtime (ARC) for developers, so they can run their applications on any computer (operating system) with a Chrome browser, says Ars Technica.Google ARC Welder

ARC is a program that allows Android apps to run on Chrome OS, and until now the it was limited to only a small group of developers working with Google. As of today, the company has released a new Chrome app packager  which allows anyone to run Android applications and other operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS.

The company says in its publication:

The App Runtime for Chrome (Beta), or ARC, lets you run your favorite Android apps on Chrome OS. By following these steps, you can try out the App Runtime for Chrome (Beta) during this . To test your app, you need three :

The new , was named ARC Welder, and is a Chrome application that handles mobile-to-desktop conversions with just a few clicks, using the Android app APK file.

In addition to his mood ARC Welder for developers, the ARC from today includes Google Play Services, which are necessary for the operation of some applications that use OAuth2, such as Google Cloud Messaging, Google+ and other services of the company.

However, ARC does not yet include all of Google Play Services. Hopefully Google will add them in the near future.
