Microsoft and Google are working together to improve Progressive Web Apps or PWA, and according to a new report, one of the features coming in a new version of the programs tours are the custom actions in jumplists.
In Windows 10, jumplists allow users to swipe right click on its icon lineof an application's tasks and run specific actions faster without opening the entire user interface of an application.
For example, a right-click on the Microsoft Edge (Chromium) icon allows users to start a new window or a private window or upload a selected site from the jumplist menu.
PWAs have become more common on the desktop, especially in Windows 10 as the feature helps address the lack of applications from the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft is betting on PWAs in the future, and this is one reason why the company wants to improve support forletterChromium browsers.
TheWindowsClub reported a feature that currently exists in Chromium-based browsers that will essentially allow custom action by jumplists.
