Google Inc. is one of the largest online service companies. Founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1996, when they were doing their PhDs at the University Stanford of California.
4 September 1998 has been privatized by Google. 19 Aug. 2004 was the public listing of the company on the stock market.
The company's goal is to organize all the world's information and make it available globally. 2006 Google has moved its headquarters to Mountain View, Calif., Called Googleplex.
They named their Google search engine. The word "Google" came from an anagram of the word "googol", The mathematical term introduced by Milton Sirotta for the number 10100 written:" 1 followed by 100 zeros ". By this, Google wants to indicate the company's mission to organize the huge amount of Internet information.
At first Google ran on the Stanford University website, with the subdomains google.stanford.edu and z.stanford.edu. The name domain for Google was registered on September 15, 1997 and the company was created on September 4, 1998. It was based in a friend's garage in Menlo Park, California
