In case you didn't know, Gmail recently released redesigned by Google UI developers. From now on, Google Drive looks to have a new look that fits Gmail's upgraded design.
The company today made one small announcement on the G Suite blog, which describes in detail the update.
Here are the descriptions of Google changes:
The logo on the top left has been changed to the Google Drive logo.
If you add your own (company) logo, it will now appear in the upper right corner.
The Settings icon has moved along the search bar.
The Help Center icon has moved along the line of the search box.
The background of the page is now white, not gray.
The "New" button has been updated.
The font used for the headers has changed.
Or just take a look at the GIF the company posted:
Google Drive has been using the aesthetic of Material Design for a long time, so the change won't be as dramatic as Gmail.
We will soon see the lightest, and most "silent" Material Design in all Google applications. The update is still being distributed to the public, so it may not be visible to many of you.
Tip: If you are using G Suite through your company to see changes in the Gmail or Google Drive UI, you will need to contact the platform administrator to allow the changes to appear.
