Google Fit: Google plans to launch a new platform named Google Fit, which will collect and present data healthand physical activities from corresponding applications and similar devices.
The revelation about Google Fit Forbes said in a report that the announcements will be made during the congress for application developers, Google I/O, which will take place in the two-day 25 and 26 June.
Obviously such a move will be directly related to Android Wear, the operating system for wearable devices that Google introduced just last March and which is going to be integrated into smartwatches from various manufacturers (Motorola, Samsung, LG etc).
If the publication is confirmed, Google will become the third company technology which will turn to the control of the infrastructure related to personal activity data.
Already in the month before Samsung announced it SAMI a cloud platform that will assume the safe transfer and processing of data coming from various devices for monitoring the physical activity and health of users.
At the same time, just last week, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced it HealthKit to monitor fitness data, which will work closely with the new operating system iOS 8.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Google will deal with health data, but it is the first time that it will be active in relation to wearable devices. Last January, the company had announced its plans for the creation of a "smart" contact lens that will be able to measure glucose levels in diabetics, using built-in sensors connected to wireless transmitters.
