Google Fuchsia: Απροσδόκητα νέα από την Google που φέρεται να αναπτύσσει ένα εντελώς νέο λειτουργικό σύστημα. Ναι όχι μόνο μια αναβάθμιση στο Android or on Chrome OS, but a new system not based on the Linux kernel.
It's called Fuschia and although Google hasn't officially announced anything about the operating system, it released details on GitHub with the cryptic description “Pink + Purple = Fuchsia (a new operating system)” or in English “Pink + Purple == Fuchsia (a new Operating System).”
The Android Police that searched deeper in the documentation found some interesting information. First of all, the operating system uses a new one Magenta core, designed to compete functionally with IoT orientation such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX. The difference here is that Magenta seems to be designed to work from smartphones up to desktop computers.
Meanwhile, Dart is used as the main language development and support, and Flutter indicates that the operating system will likely use Material Design as its user interface.
This does not necessarily mean that Google has plans to make Fuchsia available beyond IoT devices. Maybe he just wants a lighter operating system that can run on any future hardware products. Nevertheless, the possibility of universal adoption remains exciting, especially as the line between Android and ChromeOS becomes increasingly blurred.
As for the reasons why Google has not mentioned anything about the operating system to date: Brian Swetland - Google senior engineer who has worked on Android and OS T-Mobile Sidekick - says the decision to build one open source operating system from scratch, which means that some details have not yet been finalized.
Eventually things should be publicly documented, said Christopher Lane, another Google engineer. Until then, we can only speculate.
