New version of Google Glass, που πρόκειται να κυκλοφορήσει εντός του 2015, αναμένεται να ενσωματώνει μικροprocessors της Intel και μεγαλύτερη διάρκεια μπαταρίας.
This is what the Wall Street Journal reports by invoking anonymous sources. Intel is reportedly the replacement of Texas Instruments, offering processors for the next generation of Glass.
The evolution, if the publication is actually confirmed, will be particularly important as Google has only made small-scale glass upgrades to date, with the use of corrective glasses and doubling RAM.
The Wall Street Journal claims that Intel and Google plan to “push new versions of Glass to networks hospitals and manufacturers, while at the same time developing new professional uses for the device."
Although it has not been known which processor model to integrate into Glass, it is likely that this is the low-power chip developed by Intel and positioned in the MICA, the wearable that the company recently presented.
It is possible that the choice of this particular processor is also related to the improvement of the autonomy of Glass, since it could, under certain conditions, double the battery life of the original version gadgets of Google.
