The website is a complete web client application that will give you access to all the features of Google Hangouts, including voice calls and sound.
If you've already used Hangouts in Gmail, the interface seems to be pretty much the same, with the main difference being a larger contact list and a randomly selected wallpaper.
Previously, the only official way to access your PC was through a extensionof Chrome, a Chrome desktop app, or through another Google service, such as Gmail or Google+.
The new web app will help you connect to Hangouts from all your platforms.
Today you can enjoy Hangouts via web interface.
