The company will reportedly maintain a database of approved apps that have already been uploaded to the of store, from legitimate developers. All new applications will then be compared to the of the database before they are approved in order to discover any similarity with existing apps.

The company will not compare all of the applications to each other, but will compare code, data files, audio and image files. A specific algorithm will determine the "similarity rating" by determining whether an application is a clone or not.
