Google Photos Backup: Google's Photos app and service has so far received quite a few positive reviews from the entire online community. Offers unlimited photo and video storage on Google's servers as long as the photos don't exceed 16 megapixel and video is in 1080p resolution.
The new Photos app for mobile Appliances it is very convenient if the photos happen to be on your mobile phones. But what if they are on your computer?
If most of your photos are on your PC, or Mac, or on storage devices connected to a computer network, then you can't use the app to upload them to servers the company's.
An option perhaps you could use is from browser but there is no bulk photo upload option.
But Google has developed a desktop application that solves the issue. The application is just 2MB and is on the official Google Photos page. It's called Google Photos Backup.
Once you download and install .exe (in Windows), you will be prompted to enter your account information on Google to continue. The sign-in process supports the company's security feature (verification in 2 steps).
After logging in to your account you will be asked to set what will backup or in Greek the backup sources.
The Google Photos program automatically selects all three folders:
- Camera and storage cards
- desktop
- My pictures
You can deselect that you do not want to back up, or even add folders you want to upload to the company's servers.
You can also choose the desired storage quality of your photos.
The Google Photos Backup app came in to complement the application that has been hurriedly released. We hope that in the future everything can be done from the web interface without the need for an extra implementation.
