One month after updating the satellite images with higher photos analysiss, Google is redesigning its road maps to be easier to read.
The company says that its aim was to visually balance its maps by placing information on them without being over-exaggerated, removing elements "not absolutely necessary". It has also changed the typography to highlight the key areas of interest and to make them stand out.
Speaking of areas of interest, the Google it helps you by highlighting the places you might want to visit by shading them in orange Colour. You can then zoom in on an orange area to find more information.
Goggle says that the definition of "areas of interest" is done through an algorithm that measures business concentrations around an area,
