According to information, Google will transfer the production of its Pixel smartphones from China to Vietnam.
The first reference came from the Nikkei Asian Review, and this particular move by Google seems to be a result of it trade war between the US and China.
Google is reportedly turning an old Nokia factory in Bac Ninh, a northern province of Vietnam, into a smartphone factory for Google's Pixel smartphone, according to the publication.
Vietnam's workforce is familiar with smartphone manufacturing, as Google's rival Samsung, has been operating parts of the Vietnam chain for more than a decade.

Google is likely to keep some business within China. The American company knows that if it wants to be serious with hardware manufacturing, it could not leave the Chinese market.
The American company finally intends to transfer the production of most of the hardware production outside of China, adds the publication, which includes Pixel smartphones but also smart devices such as Google Home.
The post came after tweet President Trump last week said he had "ordered" US companies to start looking for alternative bases outside of China.
White House Chief Financial Officer Larry Kudlow said Sunday that Trump had asked U.S. companies to move their businesses and supply chains away from China. However, he confirmed that the US President could force US companies to relocate outside China if the trade war escalated and became a matter of national emergency.
The tension in the US-China trade war has not dissipated despite the fact that it has been going on for more than a year.
