Google today unveiled a new search feature that it calls Structured Quotes, or in English Structured snippets, the new feature will display information which the company will pull from data tables of other websites.
Η machine search engine gradually adds the new information through the Knowledge Graph database. This feature will add more data below the text snippets that usually appear in a search query. For example, if the search term is a Nikon camera model the results will show additional technical characteristics such as sensor resolution and weight:
Google uses machine learning to separate tables with useful information from those used for formatting. The system it then ranks the events based on relevance and quality to decide which results to display.
