Google Translator Toolkit automatically translate subtitles

Did you buy or download a movie that doesn't have Greek subtitles? No problem, Google is here. The company has the Google Translator Toolkit which will allow you to translate subtitles (not translationally) of a foreign language into Greek.

The Google Translator Toolkit is a Google web service that requires a company account. Once you sign in to your account, you can get started right away.Google Translator Toolkit

The service supports translation to SubRip (SRT) and SubViewer (SUB) subtitle formats only. If the that you have are in a different format, you should convert them first to be able to translate them correctly. Of course there are online subtitle conversion services, converting all formats SRT, STL, SCC, ASS and TTML.

The translation can be done after you upload the subtitle file to the service. Select the file upload and select a file that is supported by the system. You can also pass the captions with a copy paste directly to the translation website.

Then you can select the language you want to translate the subtitles. Click Next to begin the process.

The translation will take a moment. The site will direct you to an ad page where you can order a professional translation. It just needs a click to skip this step.

This click will return you to the translation page of the Google Translator Toolkit. From there you can download the translated file.

Of course you should already know that each translation presents quirks and translation errors. You may still come across some words that have not been translated. But if she is your only one , it sure is better than nothing.
