The new trend for "smart" phones that emphasize privacy is coming to confirm the Privacy Phone Number presented by the mobile company FreedomPop in the US, the third in a row phone after Blackphone of Silent Circle and Black of Boeing which promises greater personal security data of the user.
The Privacy Phone is essentially a variation Samsung Galaxy II, in which FreedomPop has installed software that encrypts phone numbers calls and SMS. In addition, the Internet is accessed through virtual private networks (VPNs), thanks to which the user is anonymous on the Internet and his online behavior cannot be recorded by advertising companies.
The company announced that the Privacy Phone will cost $189 and will be offered on a quarterly basis free contract, which includes unlimited calls and texts, with the fee thereafter set at $10 per month. So it will be cheaper than Blackphone the company's Silent Circle, which was presented at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and will be released from June with its pre-order price at 629 Euros.
Like Privacy Phone, Blackphone is also based on a modified version of the operating system Android, which Silent Circle has named PrivatOS. This includes built-in features for encrypting calls, SMS and e-mail, while the mobile gives access to a cloud platform that can be used anonymously.
Although the Silent Circle and FreedomPop modeling their models for simple users, Boeing developed Black with the focus on business executives and government organizations that manage sensitive data. This is why, in addition to spyware protection, Boeing predicted the smartphone "self-destruct" when it was attacked by malware, deleting all stored data before it was turned off.
