The Economic Police and Cybercrime Prosecution Service has filed a formal case file against a 39-year-old resident of Edessa, who is accused of repeatedly offending the sexual dignity of a minor via the Internet.
For the case, a complaint was made that a specific social networking user had been contacted by a minor girl and by impolite suggestions offended her sexual dignity.
From the digital internet research, following an order from the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office for a preliminary examination and in cooperation with the company of the specific website, the involvement and details of the 39-year-old citizen were identified.
In a survey conducted at 17.1.2014. in his residence in Edessa, in the presence of a Judicial Officer and an on-site autopsy on his computer, it appeared that he was the user of the controversial profile of the social networking site.
Also, as part of the investigation, one (1) portable PC and one (1) hard drive, which will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for further laboratory tests.
39 has not been arrested due to the passing of the limits of the self-imposed procedure, while the case file that has been filed against him will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of Athens.
