Detox from your smartphone making it monochrome.

If you are looking for a way to reduce the usage you make on your smartphone, then try to make your screen dull and dull, turning it to the gray scale. It is surprisingly effective.

smartphone

We have all discovered at some point that the use we make on our smartphone is very time consuming. Something like using the TV in the past or using it on the computer. Older people may even remember your mother chasing you not to sit for hours on TV.

The new trap is now smartphones. Although you may hear it is a waste of time, we suggest you give it a try.

Smartphones are, if nothing else, colorful. Games, social media applications, their very appearance, are all so bright and cheerful. The toys are perfectly designed, with a pleasant and vibrant color. Alerts are changed to a shade of red to catch your eye. The icons themselves, which are arranged on the home screen, are tempting in themselves.

But, miraculously, if you turn the screen to gray, the phone will look so dull. Alerts no longer seem urgent (see screenshot above). There is nothing urgent about any of these alerts. Many time consuming games are virtually impossible to play without color references. When everything is black, white and shades of gray, they get a very useful pulse and you will probably soon find yourself using an app for exactly how long it takes to get the job done, and then letting your phone down.

If you're using an iPhone, you can enable the grayscale filter by going to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display > Color Filters (Settings > > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Color Filters).

If you are using an Android device, the method varies depending on your device (and you may need to enable the Developer feature), but it is usually, as on iPhones, in the Accessibility menu. In the Xiomi we have it is in Developer Options> Colored Space Simulation> Monochrome.

To activate and view the Developer feature on Android go to Settings> About phone> and press the build number or MIUI version for Xiaomi or the other phones 7 times in a row.

Is the shade of gray on your phone forever a functional solution? It may. If you find that it helps to overcome distraction, then stay in the gray. In any case, try to change its appearance for at least a week.
