HiJackThis Fork is a free, open source code, utility for the Windows which scans your computer for settings changed by adware, spyware, malware and other unwanted programs.
It primarily detects hacking methods, rather than comparing objects to a pre-installed database. It detects new or unknown malware but also does not distinguish between safe and unsafe objects. The users they should investigate all scanned items flagged by the program and remove them from their computer only if they are absolutely sure.
