Microsoft Research Director Mr. Shahram Izadi presented a demonstration of the latest HoloLens innovation. The holoportation it allows the user to appear as if they exist in real time, anywhere in the world.
Its image is captured by 3D cameras placed around the space. They are then edited together, compressed and transmitted automatically. So anyone who has the right one can see them and interact with them latest technology equipment. What could this mean?
Hololens Holoportation: Virtual phonetransport and interacting with someone else wherever they are in the world.
The device, in addition to displaying images in real time, will enable projectionof even previous interactions.
"Imagine being able to teleport from one place to another," Izadi said. Well, if you own a HoloLens, you soon could.
It could well be the next generation of Skype to interact with distant family members, friends or whatever you think.
So far, however, this technology is not available and HoloLens is still available for $ 3000 for developers only.
