How to change the DPI on your Android device.

In this guide we will talk about LCD Density on Android Dpi and how we can change it on our device. So if you are one of the guys who can not see their Smartphone for a long time with the Default options and settings and you like to "dig" it then this guide is for you.DPI
First let's say two words about it IPL and what exactly does it do. DPI (Dots per Inch) means Dots per inch and indicates the number of individual dots that can be placed on a line. Of course, the DPI changes depending on the screen resolution.

android categories

The DRI categories on Android.
  • Low DPI (LDRI) - 120 DPI
  • DPI (MDRI) – 160 DPI (eg T-Mobile G1)
  • High DPI (HDRI) - 240 DPI (e.g. Nexus S)
  • Extra High DPI (XHDRI) - 320 DPI (e.g. Google Nexus 4)
  • Extra Extra High DPI (XXHDRI) - 480 DPI (e.g. HTC One)

Why Do We Affect DpI?
Because Dpi is responsible for how big or small the icons and generally the "environment" will appear on our Android device. So in case we want to either make them smaller or bigger we have to tease the Dri.

Before you mess up the slightest file, keep one of your operating system so that any problem you encounter along the way can be restored to where you were. Of course Olafree.net has no responsibility whatsoever for any problem, as the change in Dir is at your own risk.

Let's now see how we can change it. Basically your device should be ROOT, otherwise do not even go into the process of continuing. The other two tools we will need are one File Explorer with Root permissions and Build Prop Editor.

We are now opening him File Explorer and we're going to find the record “Build.prop”in the envelope System. After we find it open with the program we downloaded before, Build Prop Editor and we are looking for the file “Ro.sf.lcd_density”.

As soon as we find the file, we see the current DΡI of the Rom we are using and, of course, by clicking on it, we can put the number we want. The device will automatically reboot and as soon as it opens there will be my Dr. we declared.

Note: Try installing it Xposed if it does not show you the file “Ro.sf.lcd_density”
