The Directorate for the Prosecution of Electronic Crime successfully held a workshop at Koropi Town Hall, on the subject of better safety on Internet
Το Υπουργείο Δημόσιας Τάξης και Προστασίας του Πολίτη, σε συνεργασία με τη Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος, διοργάνωσε χθες (28-09-2014), στο Δημαρχείο Κορωπίου, ημερίδα για την ασφαλή πλοήγηση στο διαnetwork.
The conference was mainly addressed to parents, children and those adults who wish to learn more about the ways to face the challenges of the digital world and adapt to the new data.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office, Brigadier Emmanuel Sfakianakis, as well as specialized officers of the Office, and addressed the General Police Officer of Attica, Major General Constantine Micherina.
The themes developed during the workshop were:

the mission of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office,

the purpose of organizing meetings,
-
offenses and the way they are committed through the internet, as well as prevention practices,
-
online violence, the dangers posed by social networking sites, the prevention and tackling of the risks associated with new technologies, and the

statistics on the penetration of Greeks online and the cases that the Electronic Crime Prosecution has to deal with.
The purpose of the conference was to present the new innovative CYBERKID application and the activity of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division, which aims to prevent, investigate and suppress crimes and anti-social behaviors committed through the Internet or other electronic means of communication. At the same time, the main priority was to inform young people about ways of addressing the challenges of the digital world, as well as adapting to new developments.
