Huawei presented at a special event held on Friday, 28 November 2014, the program Telecom Seeds for the Future and students traveling to China and Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen from 29 / 11 to 14 / 12 to experience Huawei's innovation and Chinese culture.

The program wants to develop the new talents of the ICT industry at the local level, impart knowledge, promote understanding and interest in the industry and ultimately contribute to the development of digital communities in each country where Huawei operates.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Xiao Yewen, said "Huawei's success is indicative of the development of Chinese companies. Its wonderful history represents the process of reformation and extroversion of China, in general, and reflects the dreams of those who expect a better future. In this sense, the "Telecom Seeds for the Future" program is of great importance."
At the event, the General Secretary of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Panagiotis Michalos, was represented by Mr. Ilias Deuterios, Advisor, who pointed out the significant contribution of China and Chinese businesses to the recovery of the Greek Economy, thanked Huawei Technologies for the investment he is making with this Greek student training program in shaping tomorrow's Greek scientists, and wished the students to take this opportunity to gain expertise as well as to get to know Chinese culture better.
Panayiotis Demestichas, Professor at the University of Piraeus and Chairman of the Digital Systems Department, said that "this initiative is beneficial to both Huawei and the students and universities that will take part. Huawei has the opportunity to get in touch with Greece's most important asset, its human potential. Greece has young professionals with excellent education, training and job appetite, aspiring to build their careers contributing to the economy and society. During the 14 days of the preletter, the Greek students from the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens will take a tour of Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, learn Chinese and calligraphy while visiting important sights.
