IBM was released the 2013 Cyber Security Intelligence Index, one infographic, examining the global landscape of cyber threats.
According to the report, during a weekteams, an independent online company faces about 1.400 attacks and the average number of accidents that occur per week is 1,7.
Most attacks are targeted at organizations from the following industries: 26,5%, Finance and Insurance (20,9%), Information and Communications (18,7%), Health and Social Services (7,3%), and Retail and Wholesale (6,6%).
Two of the most common types of attacks, which represent over 60% of all incidents, are attacks with malware attacks and reconnaissance operations.
Half of cyberattacks are opportunistic, 23% of them are part of bioengineering espionages, terrorism, financial crime or simply data theft operations.
Resentment with the employer or work, and social activism are also common motives.
