As you may have noticed, the domain iGuRu.gr works again, after some adventures (for those who noticed it).
Initially there was an issue with the hosting of the site, as its database (and GB of files) required several resources. So a backup server we had seemed to not boot the site. So we transferred it to WordPress.com in a package that can be easily picked up and enabled to access sql to pass the huge database.
However, during the transfer we noticed that Facebook had banned our iguru.gr domain.
What does this mean; That our page on the social network could be used for any exchange of ideas (such as cooking recipes), but not to publish articles from iguru.gr as every effort showed that the site violated the terms of fb privacy. Okay we did not expect to see this…
So yesterday we managed to overcome this obstacle, and we are here again. So 2020 finds us in our usual positions, behind a management panel, chasing different news for a different audience that thinks behind the information.
Currently the site runs with 3 different domains (a countermeasure to fb ban): iGuRu.gr, iGuRu.news and iGuRu.blog. Yes we are ready to go online with a different domain.
Finally good though!
Happy New Year to all the world but also to all of you who have been supporting iGuRu.gr for so many years. The standards and philosophy of the site have not changed and you will find out over time.
