What's new in this update is that Inkscape is introducing a new one mode called PowerPencil, which allows the Pencil tool to be used with a pressure-dependent width. You can also create a closed path and draw line drawings.
The PDF export tool has also been improved and now supports links and clickable metadata, while other notable improvements include variable font support, new templates, grid gradations that work in program navigation and new line height settings.
There are also customizable ones themeicons and fonts and users can save the current file as a template.
