Four people will begin to implement their idea with their financial and not just subscription Samsung Electronics Greece, through the program Launching People. An art space for children who are real heroes, spectacular tours in Lemnos, slimming for the benefit of the weak and care of the city of Ioannina are the projects that have been distinguished.
Samsung Electronics Hellas announced on April 3, 2014 the winners of the Launching People initiative, who with the support of Samsung and mentors will have the opportunity to realize the proposal they submitted. The 20 finalists of the last phase were evaluated and selected by review committee among a total of 262 entries.
The audience voted four winners among the finalists and, after verifying the validity of the votes, a winner in each category was distinguished.
As stated by Mr. Michalis Moschos, Marketing Director of Samsung Electronics Hellas, "the entries submitted were truly innovative and worthy. We are sure that the result of the winning ideas will be impressive in all 4 categories. For our part, we will continue to support innovative ideas that use technology as a vehicle and serve people."
Specifically, Samsung Launching People saw the following entries:
Arts and Creativity
Mentor: Ilias Hadjichristodoulou (inspirer and artistic director of the Athens Video Art Film Festival)
Category winner: Kostas Garamezis with the idea of "Art in the Public Space»
Tradition and Development
Mentor: Dimitris Stinhauer (Inspiration of Mastic Liqueur Skinos and co-owner of Concepts)
Category winner: Alexandros Alexandrou with the idea of “Taste Lemnos… Taste the real happiness… The real life ”
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Mentor: Dimitris Tsigos (President of the Pan-European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs and founder of startup company)
Category winner: Dimitris Pecios with his idea "Be your dietician. Change you, change the world all! "
Social action
Mentor: Mary Karatza (responsible for the development of the "Imagine the City" Network).
Winner of the category: Christina Nelia with her idea "Art embraces small heroes"

The four winners win prizes totaling 25.000 value each to make their idea a reality. Samsung will provide the winners with the technological equipment, as well as support from four experienced and successful mentors.
