Instagram announced today that launches online DM to everyone. Finally, after several years of allowing your messages to be accessed only through the application, you can also view them in your browser.
The site has been testing web DMs (from Direct Message) for several months, and released DMs to a group as a trial last January, with the promise of rolling them out at some point in the future. But from today the news feature is available to everyone, worldwide.
Given the situation with COVID 19, it's a small but welcome addition to one of the most popular platforms social networks in the world.
I do not know about you, but lately I spend a lot more time on the desktop than before, and of course on the websites of social networks which I used to only use from my phone.
So from today if you are looking for your DMs on the web client, you can find it in the upper right corner of the site.
It has most of the features of Direct Message for mobile, plus one keyboard for emojis. You can see your inbox instantly from here.
