A case of child pornography was investigated by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, via the Internet, and the involvement of a 17-year-old citizen was verified
The Directorate of Cybercrime Prosecution, in the context of the ongoing action to combat the phenomenon of child pornography, investigated a relevant case with a 17-year-old victim.
In this case, a regular procedure case file was formed, for child pornography and child pornographic representations, via the Internet, in which a 17-year-old native is involved.
In particular, the investigation of the case started after the complaint of the mother of the 17-year-old, according to which the minor was chatting with an unknown person, through a social networking site and sent him photos of her with obscene content.
Subsequently, the minor received a personal message from another profile, which informed her that he owned her photos and threatened her that if she did not send him more two (2) disputed photos of her, he will send those he already has to other people.
The child did not impersonate her and she sent some of her photos to her online friends and approached other minors to give him the corresponding photos, asking in one case for a minor to come with him in exchange for a fee.
In this context, an Order and Will was issued by the competent Prosecution Authority to remove the confidentiality of the communications, while the methodical police and digital investigation of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate and the analysis of the electronic traces identified the owner of the disputed connectionof the internet.
In a house search, in the presence of a Judicial Officer, at the home of the 17-year-old in an area of Attica, an on-site check was carried out on his digital media and it was identified that he was the Admin of the two (2) disputed profiles and that he had deleted the aforementioned photos of the minor.
One (1) portable electronic device was found and seized computer and one (1) tablet (tablets), which will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for laboratory tests.
The filed case file will be sent to the competent Public Prosecutor.
