A lot has been "heard" about the new iPhone 8, and one of the rumors wants Apple to remove the home button from the screen of the upcoming device. A new post says that replacing the home button will bring something much better.
From Bloomberg report that they have seen images of the new devices, which will replace its physical button screen with a slim bar at the bottom and gesture controls.
So instead of a virtual one home button, as some expect, you'll be able to drag the thin bar in the middle of the screen to open a multi-panel work in iOS 11 or to return to your home screen.
It also appears that Apple will provide a rolling platform to the iPhone 8 and the new iOS 11, although it is not yet clear how you will have access to it.
Without a home button, how do you access Siri? "Hey Siri" is not always reliable. Maybe Apple will just include a new Siri button on the new base.
Also, no one knows what will happen if you press to access the home screen, or what will happen if you play a game which requires movements close to where the base appears ..
You might have to change all your old habits with the iPhone 8, but it might be worth it to enjoy a new screen. Of course, we should mention that historically the public has shown that they do not want even small changes to things that have been established. For example notice what happens with every small or big change made to its UI Facebook. On the other hand, we are talking about fan boys...
We have to wait until September 12 to see how it works and if there are any reactions.
