A publication of Reuters reports today, that construction of the iPhone X costs Apple a lot less than you think, despite the fact that it is the most expensive iPhone on the market.
According to TechInsights, a company known to disassemble and appraise device components, the iPhone X costs $357,50 to build.
So in comparison, with the iPhone 8 Plus there is a very big difference since it costs Apple about $288, an amount slightly higher than last year's iPhone 7 Plus, which cost about $277. Apple's profit from the iPhone 8 reached 59 percent, as the Appliances sold for $799 (iPhone 8 Plus) and $699 (iPhone 8).
According to report by TechInsights, it appears that many of the parts found in the iPhone X are more expensive than those in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. For example, the 5,8-inch edge-to-edge display costs $65,50, while the stainless steel frame costs $36, so these two together cost just over $100.
But Apple has the iPhone X for 999 USD in the US, and that price is much higher in other parts of the world, such as Greece, where the price will reach 1.200 euros. So even though the device has better parts than the iPhone 8, the profit for Apple is very high.
If you do the subtraction (1000 - 358), you will see that the profit for Apple reaches 642 euros per device σο Especially the devices that cost around 1200 euros…
