The Facebook rewarded a 10-year-old Finnish boy who discovered a security bug on Instagram with $10.000. The bug allowed the 10-year-old hacker to delete whatever content he wanted from Facebook's image service.
Janni reported the matter on Facebook at the end of February and received the reward money in March. To demonstrate the bug, Janni deleted one message on one of Instagram's test accounts.
After receiving a check, Janni can be considered the youngest Facebook security researcher to be awarded for discovery some bug. The previous smallerhe was 13 years old.
According to the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti, Janni learned the basics of coding and video security on YouTube.
Janni naturally stated that he plans to become a security researcher and that he will use the reward to buy a new bike, and new computers for his two brothers.
