Kali Linux is a Debian-based distribution. Contains a very large collection of security tools and penetration tests.
The project just released one new edition for the year 2020 and brings a number of important changes. The new version, 2020.2, of Kali Linux merges the various desktop editions into a single download option and removes the ability to run various as root from beforechoice.
"The latest version makes it easier for them users to access PowerShell, to update themefor KDE Plasma and the size requirements for the distribution's ARM-build SD cards have been increased from 8 GB to 16 GB.”
“A while ago, we put PowerShell in the Kali Linux network repository. This means that if you wanted PowerShell, you had to install the package one time with “sudo apt install -y PowerShell”. We have now put PowerShell in one of our (primary) metapackages, Kali-linux-large. This means that if you choose to install this metapackage during system setup or when your Kali distribution is up and running (sudo apt install -y kali-linux-large), if PowerShell is compatible with your architecture, you can go straight to it (pwsh). PowerShell is no longer in the default metapackage (Kali-linux-default).
