Developers of the Kaos Linux operating system announced the availability of Kaos 2.016.06. The new distribution comes with Linux kernel 4.6 and as the default interface wears the beta of the upcoming KDE Plasma 5.7.
The new ISO of Kaos 2.016.06 features the also new Qt 5.7.0 GUI toolkit with amazing technologies, which are ideal for a distribution running the latest software KDE.
Speaking of KDE, the developers managed to add the latest KDE Application 16.04.2 software suite αλλά και τη συλλογή των των add-ons of Qt5 with the new KDE Frameworks 5.23.0.
However, what most Kaos users have probably been waiting for is full disk encryption. The update allows the operating system to be installed on an encrypted file system. Of course, full disk encryption support has been implemented in the program installation through LUKS, both for automated installation and custom installation.
