Kaspersky The 69,9% of emails were spam in February

In February, many of the malicious attachments into a spam emails is supposed to have been sent by women who wanted to make new acquaintances in the face of Valentine's Day, as reported by Kaspersky.

Kaspersky: Some of the digital criminals went one step further, even trying to lure the recipients, promising that the attached files contained revealing ones photos. At the same time, there were more conventionally malicious messages, which were mass-sent and imitated false notifications from popular social networking sites like Facebook.

The Trojans dominated in spam February messages on love. Bulk emails sent by digital criminals targeted trusted users with a Trojan-Dropper. This Trojan εγκαθιστά δύο κακόβουλα in the user's system.

The first one is one spyware που steals all document files (* Docx, * xlsx, * Pdf) from the computer and sends them to a specific mailbox. The second one is one IRC-bot / worm, called ShitStorm and can do DDoS attacks on web pages and spread copies of it through MSN and P2P services.

If the recipients respond in an email of this kind, their computer can easily be done part of a botnet.

In addition to the Trojan spyware, spam of February included and ransomware programs - which block the user's computer and then requires to restore it.

The percentage of spam messages on of all emails worldwide increased by 4,2 percentage points in February compared to the previous month and touched 69,9%. This percentage is reduced by 1,2 percentage points compared to February of 2013.

Η has returned to the top of the ranking as the country from which most spam messages came with 23%. Followed by USA with 19,1% and South Korea with a percentage 12,8%.
