Updates KB4345418 and KB4054566 released by Microsoft on July 16, 2018 appear to cause high CPU resource usage or connectivity issues in service RDS on Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 operating systems.
Microsoft released several updates to July 16 2018 to resolve issues raised by 2018 July Patch Updates.
The updates KB4345418 for Windows 10 build 1607 and Windows Server 2016 and KB4054566 for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 on Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 were designed to address the Patch Tuesday issues. But as it seems once again the technique update to fix the previous update didn't work as expected.
Servers have begun to report a number of problems identified after installing the updates. One of these reported problems is that Microsoft Azure Active Directory Connect (AADConnect) stopped working after installing the updates on Server 2016 and 2012 R2.
A post at Microsoft Developer Network forum confirms the issue as one user reported that uninstalling KB4054566 fixed the problem in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment.
After the reviewmovement of services the CPU stops using so many resources, but before that the latest updates should be uninstalled.
Let's say this is not the first time that company news is causing serious problems for consumers' systems.
So, for those of you using Windows, it's a good idea to delay as much as you can, until at least you can see that they work without problems.
On the other hand, this particular practice is not indicated for the security of your system. So if you're going to risk installing it before moving on, it's a good idea to keep one copy security of your system.
