TorrentFreak asked the Kickass Torrents team how many DMCA requests it accepts.
According to official data from the KAT, 15.794 torrent files were deleted last week, and 55.238 in the last month. This means that the site deletes more than half a million torrents per year.
The fact is certainly a source of frustration for users, but it also encourages some others to look creatively solutions to "revive" the deleted torrents.
So in the Kickass Torrents forums, the members of the site discuss alternative means to gain access to removed content. Creating, for example, a magnet link from the torrent hash.
But aside from the discussion, users continue to re-upload the files that have disappeared, continuing the cat-and-mouse game of mouse.
