A Dutch judge decided not to punish an active uploader of the Kickass Torrents, asking him to promise to stop future illegal activities.

The judge's decision was rather lenient, since he essentially left the student unpunished, provided he stops uploading new torrents, deletes his old account and Kickass Torrents account.
If you of course violate the above terms, you will have to pay 2.000 € a day if you do a torrent seed, with a maximum fine of 50.000 € per day.
According to the court documents published by TorrentFreak, the student was staging TV series such as The Walking Dead and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The accused also agreed to pay the costs of the court proceedings.
The judge said he did not see the case as a case against piracy, but against a person who was hindering the economic growth of legitimate alternative services such as Netflix and Spotify.
