Julian Assange is being mocked

A British court ruled that Julian Assange cannot be extradited to the United States for espionage unless the US authorities guarantee that it will not face the death penalty, giving its founder a partial victory in his long legal battle over the release of classified US documents. j assange

Two Supreme Court judges said they would grant Julian a fresh appeal , unless US authorities give further assurances within three weeks about what will happen to him.

The decision means the trial, which has lasted more than a decade, will continue – and Assange will remain in London's Belmarsh maximum security prison, where he has spent the past five years.

Judges Victoria Sharp and Johnson said the US should guarantee Assange, who is Australian, "the same First Amendment protections as a United States citizen and that the death penalty will not be imposed".
