If you use LastPass Free, the free version of the service managementand LastPass password sync, then you may need to find another one, or pay LastPass LogMeIn to continue using it.
LastPass announced that it will make changes to its free service on March 16, 2021. From that day on, LastPass Free users will be able to use only one type of device to access passwords and use the sync feature.
The company distinguishes between two device types (PC and mobile) and starting from that day, free users will only be able to use one device type.
The change will not affect LastPass Free users who only use the service on their computers, e.g. a laptop, desktop, some browser extension or mobile only, basically anything that works on Android or iOS.
However, users who use the service in cell phones and desktop systems, they can no longer do so unless they purchase a premium subscription.
LastPass states that users will have to set the device type by March 16, 2021. Customers will have three opportunities to change the active device type according to a post on the company blog before the selection becomes permanent.
