Lenovo: Recall of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 generation

The Chinese company reports that the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 generation laptops built between December 2016 and October of 2017 are said to be affected.

The Consumer Product Safety Committee in the United States estimates that the number of ThinkPad X1 Carbon notebooks in the US is about 78.000, while 5.500 was sold to Canada.

Lenovo said that only ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptops codenamed "Machine Type" of 20HQ, 20HR, 20K3 or 20K4 are affected. Device owners can find this code on a sticker on the back of the device.
