When a scandal erupted a few months ago with its spy actions NSA, such as Google, Yahoo, Apple and Microsoft were found to be the main suppliers data in the intelligence service.
Companies have been quick to deny accusations and some have tried to show evidence that they are actually struggling not to deliver data to the secret service.
Later, it was surprisingly revealed that the NSA had managed to access the data centers of the above companies via the fiber optic cables connecting the data centers.
According to her publication New York Times, sources within Google and Yahoo are now confident that the infringement of NSA comes from the fiber optic cables that end up in their data centers. Cables are provided by companies such as Verizon, Vodafone, BT, and others Level 3 Communications. Suspicion falls on the latter, as both companies use link cables from it.
Level 3 Communications declined to answer questions directly, and when asked if it has granted access to the NSA its official response was: we are a law-abiding company. “It is our policy to comply with the laws in every country where we operate, and we provide access to government services only when we are obliged to do so by the laws of the country where the data is located.”
So the conclusion is σας probably yours.
