Linux Mint 18.1: Linux Mint is a distribution based on Ubuntu. It offers a more complete out-of-the-box experience, including browser plug-ins, media codecs, support fortreatment DVD, Java and more.
It also comes with a customized desktop and menu, many unique configuration tools, and a web-based package installation interface from Ubuntu software repositories.
The Linux Mint team today announced the release of an updated version of the 18.x project. THE new edition, Linux Mint 18.1, is available in two versions (KDE and Xfce), in 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
Both versions offer upgrades to X-apps applications. Also, the Admin updater can display a list of available kernel versions with recommendations.
