Days after publication of iGuRu.gr or Linux Mint development team has officially announced the availability of releases Cinnamon and MATE of the latest Mint Linux 18.3 “Sylvia” operating system.
The new Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia is now officially out with the latest DE (desktop environments) Cinnamon 3.6 and MATE 1.18. The distribution runs on Linux Kernel 4.10 from Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) and includes many new characteristics and improvements, along with updated packages uploaded to the software repositories.

Linux Mint 18.3 comes with an improved software utility that will facilitate the installation of third-party applications such as Spotify, Steam, Skype, Minecraft, WhatsApp or Google Earth, supports the universal binary format Flatpak, has a completely updated Backup Tool as well as a new tool for system snapshots, called Timeshift.
Additionally, Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” includes a new Reporting System to help users more easily report any system crashes, improvements to various XApps project, such as the Xed text editor and the proletterof projections PDF Xreader. You'll find a login screen that allows you better configuration, and out-of-the-box support for spell checking in various languages. Redshift is now installed by default.

The 32-bit version can only boot into BIOS systems, not UEFI.
