The new version of the popular Linux Mint 21.3 distribution is available on the download servers, but the official website has not yet been updated to announce it.
Linux Mint 21.3 is the third point release of Linux Mint 21. The original release was released on August of 2022 and Linux Mint 21.1 followed in December of the same year.
The new ISO images are already available for all three flavors, Cinnamon, Mate and Xfce, on the official download mirrors.
Version 21.3 is the last release point to be released and the Linux Mint team will move on to the next major release of the distribution.
The official "What's New" has the changes listed, but they haven't been moved to the main site yet.
Codenamed “Virginia”, Linux Mint 21.3 comes with the latter Cinnamon 6.0 desktop environment which brings an experimental Wayland session for those who want to try the Wayland distribution.
The new version of Linux Mint 21.3 apart from Cinnamon 6.0 also comes in Xfce 4.18 and MATE 1.26 variants
